So I've seen some shit, but in our big new ground......new signings.....big season ahead to lose 0-1 to a Romanian side whos manager is banged up for match fixing and are 11th in the league at present

Did anyone else notice that when the players pictures went up when they were announced, Poor old Darren's surname was spelt RANDOLF.

I only made it home to catch the second half on the box....

My first question is how the fuck did they score 1 ?

Why did he leave Burke at LB for so long when it was clear every time we gained momentum to shift the ball wide it was lost by his inability to do anything effective going forward or use his left foot

Why did Valencia come on at HT instead of Fletcher


The performance in the second half wasn't from lack of trying from the majority yet everyone was waiting for someone else to produce the bit of magic. Without Payet or Lanzini no-one had the ability to take the game and change it. On another night we could of had a few with the Calleri and Fletcher chances but there really is no excuse to go out to a team like that. Slaven has to take responsibility. His performance this season has been shaky at best.

This new stadium was meant to take us to the next level yet with fights, Chelsea and Spurs shirts in the place and shower of shit like Tore and Valencia running around on the pitch this season may be mid table at best.

I honestly cant remember being more embarrassed after a result than i was last night. City away on sunday should be fun

Meant he doesn't let us down when he starts right wing - I'm blaming the miss purely in psychological damage caused by playing right back!

He's not in good form right now but seeing as he's only played his favoured position for about an hour over the course of 6 games, in milking to cut him some slack

Just remembered the brilliant attacking play in the first half - great ball from Randolph out to the left hand side. Made him the most potent attacking force in that first half.

Now I love Antonio and he was great last season, but if we had a full strength squad to pick from, he'd be lucky to make my bench at the moment.

Antonio, Burke, Obiang, Nordveit and Valencia were appalling.

Fletcher the best player by a million miles; only one who wanted the ball and making things happens.

Feel for Calleri, was hopeless infront of goal.

There is a trend here that goes back to last season:

Losses: Leicester, Bournemouth, Watford, Newcastle, Swansea, Stoke, now Astra twice + going 2 down to clubs like Norwich and Sunderland

Compare that to the victories against Arsenal, Man City, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham.

Conclusion: Can't get motivated against so-called less glamorous clubs. You can see that by the number of times we started slowly and were lethargic against those 'smaller' teams' (and, yes, I include Leicester in that even though they won the League). Very worrying lack of professionalism there, for which the management must take some responsibility.
